Trees for poverty alleviation
"Trees for poverty alleviation"
was the topic of the Annual Conference of the Swiss Center for International Agriculture (ZIL) at ETH Zurich.
The conference debated how trees may be used for improving livelihoods in
developing countries.
The event took place on 9 June 2006 in the Auditorium Maximum at ETH Zurich from 9:30 to 17:30.
As key speakers the two outstanding representatives from the international foresty and agro-forestry community could be engaged: Dennis Garrity who is director general of the World Agroforestry Center (ICRAF) and Angela Cropper who is board chair of the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR).

The programme is available here. Registration for the conference is not required, the conference is open to the interested public.
